7/30 debates (EVERYONE stayed!)

Published July 31, 2009 by Sussex County Angel

I would like to keep this relatively short and sweet.

My first statement, obviously, is the fact that Mervine actually came and stayed for the whole debate.  However, listening to her speak, I realized, was exactly like webpage.  There was not a single relevent fact that popped out of her pretty little head.  She actually said she could get more accomplished because she’d be a member of the majority.  I’M NOT HAPPY WITH THE MAJORITY.  THAT IS NOTHING TO BE PROUD OF.

Wendy Jones even told her at one point that she didn’t answer a question.  I loved that.

Joe Booth said, at one point, he helped Del Pointe people plan their race track… COME ON PEOPLE.  How many chances has he had to prove to us he can do it right?  How many more does he need?  Does he think that if he sides against the majority when he knows it makes no difference, we’ll pay attention to that instead of the cases where his vote if the significant one, and he sides againt his constituents?

I will happily throw my vote away to vote for a candidate who represents me.  If enough people do that, it’s NOT a throw away, funny how that math works, huh, how you can actually get people into office by voting based on platforms, and not major party lines.

That quick bit being said, SCCOR meeting tonight featured Rich Collins of the PGA… don’t even get me started on that…

Who do you support?

Published July 28, 2009 by Sussex County Angel

There is a debate on the 30th.  At the same time there is a SCCOR meeting.  I would like anyone who feels up to it to tell me who you would vote for.  After my recent letter about Adams Mervine, I have had many emails about that.  As obvious as I thought it was, they seemed to not pick up on it…

The day creeps closer and closer

Published July 27, 2009 by Sussex County Angel

The greatly anticipated election date is coming close.  In my book, this is as exciting as the latest Harry Potter release date.  Here’s how I feel, and I hope people have picked up on it.  As much as I hate to say it, the Democratic candidate is worthless.  The Republican candidate has a majority of the votes right now.

Does anyone know why?  I will tell you, right here, right now.  Are you ready?  Lean close, I’ll whisper this one for you.

No one wants to throw away their vote.  If more people cared less about throwing away their vote, but instead paid attention to voting how they feel, better candidates would win.  This country is set up to support a 2 party system, but guess what, sometimes, a main candidate is not the best candidate to represent you.  You know, here, I agree with DE Libertarian candidate Wendy Jones, If you vote from the heart, it’s not throwing your vote away.

The way I see it, if I have to look myself in the mirror everyday, I had better like what I’m seeing.  In order to like what I’m seeing, I had better vote everytime I legally can for the candidate that best represents me.

Did I vote for Obama? NO.  Did I vote for McCain? NO. Did I vote? YES.  Whether my candidate won or not, I did what I felt was best for self and country.

Thats what matters…

Polly Adams Mervine (my opinion)

Published July 24, 2009 by Sussex County Angel

If you go to the “Polly Adams Mervine for Senate” web page you can read her five stances on the issues.  I will refrain from mentioning here that every other candidate has told the voters how they stand on many issues, not simply giving vague ideas covering as little as possible.  I want to talk about her platform, or, as her web page called it, “the issues“.  (I am paraphrasing her stances from her web page, but I’m not adding anything to them)

1. We (great, proud, traditional Delawarean) must continue having a balanced budget WITHOUT raising taxes.  There are a few things I want to mention about this statement.  Did I hear this year that Delaware was dealing with a deficit in the hundreds of millions of dollars? That the tradition Delaware had held on to was historically broken?  I realize that no one comes into a political race announcing they plan on raising taxes.  If Polly is saying we need to have a balanced budget in order for her not to push for tax increases, then I see that as her saying she sees no way for her to not raise taxes (unless she’s better with a calculator then everyone already employed by the state).

2. We must strive for a smaller state government.  What I get from this is regardless of the recent state employee pay cuts, she wants to cut jobs (maybe that’s how she plans to balance the budget).

3. Support small businesses and farmers in Delaware.  This I see as a space filler.  Of course we want to support farmers and small businesses, especially since the district she is running in has a lot of farmers.  I once again know no one that runs for office on a platform of alienating and destroying small business owners.

4. We must work hard to bring new businesses to Delaware.  I was unaware that the state had pushed a “no new business” stance previously.  I was actually under the impression that Delaware state government has tried to encourage people to move to Delaware.

5. I will strive to improve our schools.  I realize Delaware has a problem with state spending related to state test scores.  This state has an education problem.  This has been discussed by many in the past, and will continue to be discussed by many in the future.

Polly Adams Mervine has taken a firm stance on the issues.  I find it hard to find anyone that will disagree with a single point mainly because it’s all filler.  I have read her entire web page and still do not know her any better.  I do know she was the third runner up for Mrs. Delaware in 2007.  I have learned she has a faux finishing business, ”Fauxbulous Fx, Inc.”, but on that company web site she doesn’t have the “Adams” included in her name.

My opinion, after reading the platforms of some of the other people running (most notably Matthew Opaliski at www.opaliskicampaign.com and Wendy Jones at www.delawareliberty.com) I think Polly Adams Mervine is trying to run on name only.  She has gone door-to-door while campaigning and mentioned her father, “getting tears in her eyes”.  I sympathise with her greatly on the loss of her father, but I don’t feel she is capable of living up to his name.  My vote is going to someone who isn’t afraid of telling me how they feel.

Mike Castle & the birth certificate craze

Published July 22, 2009 by Sussex County Angel

The now infamous town hall meeting video…  Sussex County gives Castle a rousing cat call to let him know how we feel about Obama’s birth certificate (is this how YOU feel?).  The video (as of now) has had over 500,000 hits on you tube.

http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/blogs/sfgate/detail?blogid=14&entry_id=44026

Lou Dobbs takes up the birth certificate … cause …

http://www.rushlimbaugh.com/home/daily/site_072009/content/01125113.guest.html

This is where I heard about it (my husband heard the show)

That being said, here is the official Angel Take.

This video is showing people how Delawareans act.  Now, what do people see here? People upset, yelling, booing, getting angry, but to calm them down saying the Pledge.  I salute the people that were able to attend this “town hall” meeting, and I’m glad Castle was … put in his place.

I’m hoping he won’t run again (of course, if he does he’ll play the sympathetic card and run Democrat).

I will not say anything about the woman who stood up in this crowd, all the locals know who she is, and many have an opinion about her from hearing her call WGMD.

I googled this and saw nothing but blogs (basically) discussing this video.

I love the attention it’s getting and I love people thinking of Delawareans as a group of angry activists.

Hopefully this video will incite locals to action.  Maybe we can get some of these people (including the half a million who have watched the video) to come to our protest, or check out www.sccor.org to see how some people try to constructively use their time.

We have Savage on right now, and while I may not agree with him, or like him very much, I agree with his freedom of speech take because of his recent ban.

This is simply a dedicated woman who sees angels and really believes if the birth certificate issue is researched our presidency will change hands.

Considering the changes being made in our government and country right now, I wish it was that easy of a fix.

~Angel~

I would like to add, while I may take a side stance on the birth certificate issue, as I feel it’s too late to do anything now whether I believe it or not, I thought it was deliciously ironic to see on the side when I googled “castle birth certificate” available at www.usbirthcertificate.com has official, certified birth certificates delivered in 2-3 days.

A call to the Fed

Published July 21, 2009 by Sussex County Angel

This is fantastic.  I found this dated April 14, 2009.  Of course, if you made the same call today, the numbers would be slightly different…

The following is a conversation with Mr. Ron Supinski of the Public Information Department of the San Francisco Federal Reserve Bank. This is an account of that conversation.

CALLER – Mr. Supinski, does my country own the Federal Reserve System?

MR. SUPINSKI – We are an agency of the government.

CALLER – That’s not my question. Is it owned by my country?

MR. SUPINSKI – It is an agency of the government created by congress.

CALLER – Is the Federal Reserve a Corporation?

MR. SUPINSKI – Yes

CALLER – Does my government own any of the stock in the Federal Reserve?

MR. SUPINSKI – No, it is owned by the member banks.

CALLER – Are the member banks private corporations?

MR. SUPINSKI – Yes

CALLER – Are Federal Reserve Notes backed by anything?

MR. SUPINSKI-Yes, by the assets of the Federal Reserve but, primarily by the power of congress to lay tax on the people.

CALLER – Did you say, by the power to collect taxes is what backs Federal Reserve Notes?

MR. SUPINSKI – Yes

CALLER – What are the total assets of the Federal Reserve?

MR. SUPINSKI – The San Francisco Bank has $36 Billion in assets.

CALLER – What are these assets composed of?

MR. SUPINSKI – Gold, the Federal Reserve Bank itself and government securities.

CALLER – What value does the Federal Reserve Bank carry gold per oz. on their books?

MR. SUPINSKI – I don’t have that information but the San Francisco Bank has $1.6 billion in gold.

CALLER – Are you saying the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco has $1.6 billion in gold, the bank itself and the balance of the assets is government securities?

MR. SUPINSKI – Yes.

CALLER – Where does the Federal Reserve get Federal Reserve Notes from?

MR. SUPINSKI – They are authorized by the Treasury.

CALLER – How much does the Federal Reserve pay for a $10 Federal Reserve Note?

MR. SUPINSKI – Fifty to seventy cents.

CALLER – How much do they pay for a $100.00 Federal Reserve Note?

MR. SUPINSKI – The same fifty to seventy cents.

CALLER – To pay only fifty cents for a $100.00 is a tremendous gain, isn’t it?

MR. SUPINSKI – Yes

CALLER – According to the US Treasury, the Federal Reserve pays $20.60 per 1,000 denomination or a little over two cents for a $100.00 bill, is that correct?

MR. SUPINSKI – That is probably close.

CALLER – Doesn’t the Federal Reserve use the Federal Reserve Notes that cost about two cents each to purchase US Bonds from the government?

MR. SUPINSKI – Yes, but there is more to it than that.

CALLER – Basically, that is what happens?

MR. SUPINSKI – Yes, basically you are correct.

CALLER – How many Federal Reserve Notes are in circulation?

MR. SUPINSKI – $263 billion and we can only account for a small percentage.

CALLER – Where did they go?

MR. SUPINSKI – Peoples mattress, buried in their back yards and illegal drug money.

CALLER – Since the debt is payable in Federal Reserve Notes, how can the $4 trillion national debt be paid-off with the total Federal Reserve Notes in circulation?

MR. SUPINSKI – I don’t know.

CALLER – If the Federal Government would collect every Federal Reserve Note in circulation would it be mathematically possible to pay the $4 trillion national debt?

MR. SUPINSKI – No

CALLER – Am I correct when I say, $1 deposited in a member bank $8 can be lent out through Fractional Reserve Policy?

MR. SUPINSKI – About $7.

CALLER – Correct me if I am wrong but, $7 of additional Federal Reserve Notes were never put in circulation. But, for lack of better words were “created out of thin air ” in the form of credits and the two cents per denomination were not paid either. In other words, the Federal Reserve Notes were not physically printed but, in reality were created by a journal entry and lent at interest. Is that correct?

MR. SUPINSKI – Yes

CALLER – Is that the reason there are only $263 billion Federal Reserve Notes in circulation?

MR. SUPINSKI – That is part of the reason.

CALLER – Am I mistaking that when the Federal Reserve Act was passed (on Christmas Eve) in 1913, it transferred the power to coin and issue our nation’s money and to regulate the value thereof from Congress to a Private corporation. And my country now borrows what should be our own money from the Federal Reserve (a private corporation) plus interest. Is that correct and the debt can never be paid off under the current money system of country?

MR. SUPINSKI – Basically, yes.

CALLER – I smell a rat, do you?

MR. SUPINSKI – I am sorry, I can’t answer that, I work here.

CALLER – Has the Federal Reserve ever been independently audited?

MR. SUPINSKI – We are audited.

CALLER – Why is there a current House Resolution 1486 calling for a complete audit of the Federal Reserve by the GAO and why is the Federal Reserve resisting?

MR. SUPINSKI – I don’t know.

CALLER – Does the Federal Reserve regulate the value of Federal Reserve Notes and interest rates?

MR. SUPINSKI – Yes

CALLER – Explain how the Federal Reserve System can be Constitutional if, only the Congress of the US, which comprises of the Senate and the House of representatives has the power to coin and issue our money supply and regulate the value thereof? [Article 1 Section 1 and Section 8] Nowhere, in the Constitution does it give Congress the power or authority to transfer any powers granted under the Constitution to a private corporation or, does it?

MR. SUPINSKI – I am not an expert on constitutional law. I can refer you to our legal department.

CALLER – I can tell you I have read the Constitution. It does NOT provide that any power granted can be transferred to a private corporation. Doesn’t it specifically state, all other powers not granted are reserved to the States and to the citizens? Does that mean to a private corporation?

MR. SUPINSKI – I don’t think so, but we were created by Congress.

CALLER – Would you agree it is our country and it should be our money as provided by our Constitution?

MR. SUPINSKI – I understand what you are saying.

CALLER – Why should we borrow our own money from a private consortium of bankers? Isn’t this why we had a revolution, created a separate sovereign nation and a Bill of Rights?

MR. SUPINSKI – (Declined to answer).

CALLER – Has the Federal Reserve ever been declared constitutional by the Supreme Court?

MR. SUPINSKI – I believe there has been court cases on the matter.

CALLER – Have there been Supreme Court Cases?

MR. SUPINSKI – I think so, but I am not sure.

CALLER – Didn’t the Supreme Court declare unanimously in A.L.A. Schechter Poultry Corp. vs. US and Carter vs. Carter Coal Co. the corporative-state arrangement an unconstitutional delegation of legislative power? ["The power conferred is the power to regulate. This is legislative delegation in its most obnoxious form; for it is not even delegation to an official or an official body, presumptively disinterested, but to private persons." Carter vs. Carter Coal Co...]

MR. SUPINSKI – I don’t know, I can refer you to our legal department.

CALLER – Isn’t the current money system a house of cards that must fall because, the debt can mathematically never be paid-off?

MR. SUPINSKI – It appears that way. I can tell you have been looking into this matter and are very knowledgeable. However, we do have a solution.

CALLER – What is the solution?

MR. SUPINSKI – The Debit Card.

CALLER – Do you mean under the EFT Act (Electronic Funds Transfer)? Isn’t that very frightening, when one considers the capabilities of computers? It would provide the government and all it’s agencies, including the Federal Reserve such information as: You went to the gas station @ 2:30 and bought $10.00 of unleaded gas @ $1.41 per gallon and then you went to the grocery store @ 2:58 and bought bread, lunch meat and milk for $12.32 and then went to the drug store @ 3:30 and bought cold medicine for $5.62. In other words, they would know where we go, when we went, how much we paid, how much the merchant paid and how much profit he made. Under the EFT they will literally know everything about us. Isn’t that kind of scary?

MR. SUPINSKI – Yes, it makes you wonder.

CALLER – I smell a GIANT RAT that has overthrown my constitution. Aren’t we paying tribute in the form of income taxes to a consortium of private bankers?

MR. SUPINSKI – I can’t call it tribute, it is interest.

CALLER – Haven’t all elected officials taken an oath of office to preserve and defend the Constitution from enemies both foreign and domestic? Isn’t the Federal Reserve a domestic enemy?

MR. SUPINSKI – I can’t say that.

CALLER – Our elected officials and members of the Federal Reserve are guilty of aiding and abetting the overthrowing of my Constitution and that is treason. Isn’t the punishment of treason death?

MR. SUPINSKI – I believe so.

CALLER – Thank you for your time and information and if I may say so, I think you should take the necessary steps to protect you and your family and withdraw your money from the banks before the collapse, I am.

MR. SUPINSKI – It doesn’t look good.

CALLER – May God have mercy on the souls who are behind this unconstitutional and criminal act called the Federal Reserve. When the ALMIGHTY MASS awakens to this giant hoax, they will not take it with a grain of salt. It has been a pleasure talking to you and I thank you for your time. I hope you will take my advice before it does collapse.

MR. SUPINSKI – Unfortunately, it does not look good.

CALLER – Have a good day and thanks for your time.

MR. SUPINSKI – Thanks for calling.

Bailouts are up to 24 TRILLION

Published July 21, 2009 by Sussex County Angel

Why have we not heard about this?  While looking for fun facts for a presentation I’m giving tonight, I found this page:

http://www.prisonplanet.com/cost-of-bailout-hits-a-whopping-24-trillion-dollars.html

Now, I am into the idea of an audit for the FED, if anyone deserves it, it’s the people that literally answer to no man, woman, or congress.  I have e-mail, signed petitions, called people.  All of this I have done to no avail, because, as of Monday, July 20th, 2009, it hit 80,000 per person in the US (well, US citizen I should say).

I don’t know about you, but I don’t feel like I am getting 80,000 worth out of any group.

So, today, as I research audit the fed groups, I get more and more angry about it.  The price tag over my head keeps getting bigger…

STOP PRINTING MONEY YOU IDIOTS

Jud Bennett reduces e-mails

Published July 21, 2009 by Sussex County Angel

In the interest of Judson Bennett reducing the number of e-mails he is sending out (I am still getting about 5-10 a day from him), he copied and pasted a few comments from the 122 e-mails he received in regards to the SCCOR protest.

Here’s what I noticed:

He never said how many people were for or against the protest, just that he was sent a lot of e-mails about it.

He listed 5 cons to 3 pros (objectively of course)

I want to comment on a few things people said, but instead I think I’ll remain objective as well.  It’s pretty obvious that anyone who agrees with SCCOR will go out of their way to attend.  Anyone who thinks stimulus money is great will not get their mind changed by me.  I have been suprised lately by the number of people who were unaware that the boardwalk is being funded by stimulus money.

As I read the e-mail Jud sent out, I couldn’t help but laugh as one writer commented that little children fall over nails which are sticking out of the boardwalk all the time.

Who here has ever seen a child fall over their own feet?  I have.  It’s funny to read that someone thinks every child that falls on the boardwalk does so over nails and not their own excitement.

If the boardwalk was in really bad condition, wouldn’t there be more bike accidents there?

An e-mail from Coast-to-coast (Jud)

Published July 19, 2009 by Sussex County Angel

I was sent this e-mail by the author, who obviously reads Jud’s e-mails.  I think it’s funny that it was not sent out (he normally send out like 5 a day).  I was pretty glad to get it though, I was starting to feel like I was wrong and not the stimulus package…

Dear Jud,

I agree with SCCOR.  The way that much of the stimulus money is being used creates only short term growth in jobs.  What happens in two years when the money runs out?  Instead, the stimulus money should have been used to invest in new industries and projects that will create sustainable growth for the long term future.

Of course DelDOT has to defend its position and they have done nothing wrong.  If money is being given out Delaware should get its fair share.  Unfortunately, because of the short term horizon many projects that would have made more sense were not ready to go so DelDOT had to do the best they could given the rules of the game.  That however, does not make it okay to spend billions of taxpayer dollars

for projects that are being done to keep people temporarily employed.  Future generations will not look kindly on this administration when their taxes keep going up. I think this is the point that SCCOR is trying to make and rightfully so.

I do not belong to SCCOR and have no affiliation with them, but I am glad that some one is out there saying stop spending our taxpayer money on projects that will not solve the problem it was meant to solve.
