I’ve been reading these stories on the Internetz and they are driving me crazy!
The Huffington Post reports:
Marcus Hayes of the Philadelphia Daily News reported on Tuesday that Hopkins verbally attacked McNabb, implying that he isn’t black or tough enough.
“Forget this,” Hopkins said while reportedly pointing to his own skin. “He’s got a suntan. That’s all.”
So, who is this Bernard Hopkins guy? Big Lead Sports says he is just one heck of a role model:
The 46-year-old boxer popped off the other day to Marcus Hayes of the Philly Daily News about how Donovan McNabb isn’t black enough. “Why do you think McNabb felt he was betrayed? Because McNabb is the guy in the house, while everybody else is on the field. He’s the one who got the extra coat. The extra servings. ‘You’re our boy’ … He thought he was one of them.” I think the “Executioner” took a few too many shots to the head in his (overrated?) boxing career. Mike Wilbon, who is friends with McNabb, called Hopkins’ comments ignorant. At 17, Hopkins spent five years in jail after being convicted of nine felonies. I guess he’d respect McNabb more if Donovan had done time.
That’s right, Donovan McNabb is the role model (even though he no longer plays for my Eagles).
Bernard Hopkins, you are a tool. I would write more about this, but that may lead even more people to actually care about this jerk who thinks he’s clever…
