Newt Gingrich believes voters “shouldn’t be restricted to two people.” :Paradox:

Published December 27, 2011 by Sussex County Angel

I doubt Newt Gingrich even realizes what he said here! He’s upset as he is not going to be on the primary ballot in Virginia.

We’re getting an amazing number of people who … believe Virginians ought to have the right to choose and shouldn’t be restricted to two people.”

Oh, of course! He wants people to vote for him, to choose him as one of the only two people they are supposed to get to choose from for President of the United States of America (using his two-party system), but when he is not one of the two people, it’s not fair. The system has failed.

”Voters deserve the right to vote for any top contender, especially leading candidates,”

Interesting… I guess what he should be saying is any top contender who plays by the rules of the Republicans vs. Democrats…

That being said, it’s also quite telling that Newt Gingrich wants the law in Virginia changed before the March 6 presidential primary so that he can be a write-in candidate (write-in votesdon’t count in the Virginia primary):

Newt Gingrich wants Virginia legislators to change the law in time for him to mount a write-in campaign in Virginia’s March 6 presidential primary. …  When a reporter noted that state law prohibits write-in votes in Virginia primaries, Gingrich said: “There’s time for them to change it. If something’s wrong, they ought to fix it.”

I guess, in his world, if the law doesn’t work for your system, the system has failed and must be changed, in almost record time (the new ballots with the write-in lines would have to be mailed no later than January 21, 2012).

”It’s the law,” Howell said of Virginia’s statute that prohibits write-in votes in primaries. ”I like Gingrich, personally. I just don’t think you’re going to see a majority – or a supermajority – change the law to benefit one person.”

Of course, if Newt Gingrich is to be believed, he had the votes to get himself on the ballot in Virginia as of last Wednesday:

On Wednesday, Gingrich assured a crowd of supporters he had met the threshold for appearing on the ballot, saying he had gathered anywhere from 12,000 to 14,000 signatures.

I guess that means that Newt Gingrich’s staff wasn’t organized enough to make sure that they to meet the few guidlines required in Virginia:

Virginia requires candidates to obtain 10,000 signatures from registered voters, with at least 400 signatures coming from each of the commonwealth’s 11 congressional districts.

Wait a minute, do you think that the President of the United States has to be able to organize things? Or at least be able to hire people to organize things? If Newt Gingrich’s campaign staff cannot get 4,400 signatures in the state he lives in, how can he lead the country?

Ho-Ho-Ho? Happy Yuletide!

This was written by a friend of mine, Wendy Jones. I figured I would share it with you on this Christmas Eve!

Unfortunately, high-placed Confidential Informants have reported that all is not well with Santa’s annual mission to deliver toys & goodies to all of Earth’s deserving residents.

It seems that, like so many of us, Santa has run afoul of the United Socialist States of America’s (abbreviated as U.S.S.A.) morass (pron: “more-ass”) of govern-”mental” agencies:

Although theoretically capable of travel at approximately 200,000 MPH, Santa’s sleigh is inhibited by members of the U.S.E.R. (Union of Socialist Entitlement Reindeer) which managed to arrange multiple labor strikes at the borders of each region, country & state in the world, protesting both the inequality of Santa’s employing only those reindeer who could actually fly & the EPA’s mandated addition & installation of a catalytic converter into each of the reindeer’s “exhaust ports”, as they violate emission standards.

Santa didn’t escape the EPA unscathed either, as it turns out that milk & cookies give him gas, which despite being methane & one of the many naturally-occurring “greenhouse gases”, comes under the purview of the EPA. However, he’s narrowly managed to avoid the converter installation himself by directing his gas into his sleigh’s deuterium-fueled controlled-fusion reaction chamber.

Many activists point out that there’s already a surplus of greenhouse gas currently being released in the Washington D.C.-metro area.

After receiving stiff fines by the F.A.A. for failing to file a Flight Plan & causing multiple Unauthorized Sonic Booms, & under threat of having Patriot Interceptor Missiles launched at him by NORAD, the Department of Energy demanded he land & submit to their inspection & approval of his propulsion system, claiming it constituted a substantial public hazard while at the same time, admitting Santa’s technology is far superior in efficiency & lacking the conventional heavy-element radioactive toxicity of nuclear fission.

However, now Santa has been grounded & having to raise some quick cash to pay the many fees & fines, he’s auctioned off all the gifts. His pilot’s license has been revoked & his sleigh impounded by the local police for traveling well in excess of the 25 MPH in residential zones & he’s required to pay the unemployment fees due as a result of laying off the reindeer.

He was last seen hitch-hiking back to the North Pole.

Surely, there’s more of the same to come.

Here’s wishing you a Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Happy Kwanzaa, Happy Yuletide & hope that you had a Great Winter Solstice!

Let’s play a Christmas game with the TSA!

Published December 22, 2011 by Sussex County Angel

I have a genius idea! I mean, I have found a way to spread the Christmas spirit to the Transportation Security Administration (TSA)!

If you are doing any traveling this holiday season, give the TSA the gift that keeps on giving!

In other words, if you can, wrap up your clothing as gifts. Take each shirt, pair of pants, skirt, dress, even shoes, and place them in a gift box (don’t forget the tissue paper)! Then wrap each gift box with pretty paper.

Place the wrapped packages (or as many as you can) in your carry-on luggage.

The TSA agents will get to open each gift before you get on the plane!

Skyrim Loophole! Get an extra follower!

Published December 21, 2011 by Sussex County Angel

I found a loophole/bug/glitch, whatever you would like to call it, that lets you get an extra follower in Skyrim.

It’s during a Thieves Guild quest – but it’s not a main story line quest, so you can easily continue on with the game and the guild!

The quest - Speaking with Silence, ends with you heading into Snow Veil Sanctum with Mercer. Your follower stays outside, but Mercer rolls with you inside. Mercer will not hold your gear, but he fights.

If you leave Snow Veil Sanctum after you’ve started the quest Mercer comes with you. Once you exit the Sanctum, you have both Mercer and whatever follower you had before the quest!

Again, Mercer won’t hold gear, but he fights! You can’t keep him throughout the whole story line of the game, but for a while, it’s nice!

Speaking with Silence outline:

Speaking with Silence is the Thieves Guild quest which follows Scoundrel’s Folly. It is offered by Mercer Freyimmediately upon completion of the previous quest.

§  Prerequisite: Scoundrel’s FollyOverview

§  Quest Giver: Mercer Frey

§  Reward: N/A

§  Reputation Gain: N/A

Objectives

§  Meet Mercer Frey outside Snow Veil Sanctum

§  Enter Snow Veil Sanctum

§  Find Karliah

§  Speak to Karliah

Walkthrough

§  Meet Mercer outside Snow Veil Sanctum. Talk to him, and he will unlock the door. Enter it and cleave through the Draugr with him. There will be a Larceny Target on a trapped pressure plate, specifically theModel Ship which you can pick up and sell to Delvin for a leveled amount of gold (300-800). At some point you will encounter a locked puzzle door, which usually requires a claw made out of a specific material (eg.Ivory Dragon Claw). However, this time Mercer will open it.

Tisha Casida to be on Radio Freedom tonight!

Published December 20, 2011 by Sussex County Angel

Tisha Casida will be on the show tonight and I am looking forward to our chat! If more young women were involved in politics the dirty old men wouldn’t get their way so much!

Tisha Casida, a lifelong Coloradan, was baptized in the Arkansas River and raised on a small farm in Vineland, Colorado.  She went on to the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs (UCCS), where she studied business and political science, graduating with a dual major in 2005.

After returning to southern Colorado, she pursued her Masters in Business Administration from Colorado State University-Pueblo, graduating and starting her own small business – That’s Natural! Marketing & Consulting.  She also has her Colorado real estate license that now hangs with The Land Company.

She has developed a reputation as a leader throughout Colorado, with a passion for agriculture and love for entrepreneurship. She is a former military wife and a strong supporter of our troops and our veterans.

Her interactions with thousands of customers and hundreds of small-business owners have given her the insight and tenacity to see real, positive, and actionable solutions in industries that affect the lives of Coloradans and Americans. In 2009, Tisha became concerned about the state of the economy and the eroding of civil liberties.  She believes in both peace and prosperity for the generations of people who have worked hard, for those who have fought and died for our freedom, and for the next generation that deserves to live and work in a free and prosperous country.

Throughout her small business career, she has focused on bringing groups of people together based on free market activities that allow everyone to have a voice.  In interactions with the various political parties, as well as the ignorance of those who refuse to listen to the voice of the next generation, she has decided to run as an Independent.  Her belief is that we, as Coloradans, should exercise our own independent voices for what we believe in.

Michael Badnarik to be on Radio Freedom tonight!

Published December 19, 2011 by Sussex County Angel

Michael Badnarik decided to run for President in February of 2003 at the urging of friends, as well as students of his popular “Introduction to the Constitution” class. To secure the Libertarian Party nomination, he traveled over 25,000 miles campaigning across the U.S. in the 15 months leading up to the Partys National Convention in Atlanta. Although Michael was clearly the underdog, he won the nomination after three close ballots.

Michael continued his underdog status in the national campaign. Despite appearing on the ballot in 48 states, more than Ralph Nader, as his candidacy was blacked out by the mainstream media. Frustrated by the bipartisan control of the electoral process, he tried to serve process papers on Commission on Presidential Debates officials in a lawsuit protesting the exclusion of significant third party candidates from the debates. Badnarik and David Cobb, the Green Party nominee, were arrested and handcuffed attempting to peacefully cross the police line surrounding the St. Louis debate. Despite this unprecedented challenge to the legitimacy of the debates, the media virtually censored this story.

While on the campaign trail, Michael found time to write a book about the Constitution entitled Good To Be King The Foundations of Freedom. U.S. Representative Ron Paul (R-TX), known for his integrity and independent views, wrote the forward. Good To Be King is only available in hardcover, and for the time being, only on this website.

Badnarik first began studying the Constitution in 1983, while managing the Braidwood Nuclear Simulator project. In his next assignment, he earned a Secret Security clearance at the Northrop facility charged with developing the Stealth Bomber. His next challenge was training hundreds of employees to use state-of-the-art computer systems at PG&Es Diablo Canyon nuclear plant. His natural talent for speaking and teaching led him to develop his Constitution class.
