Uprising in China against the Communists – Most Wukan citizens stand firm while starting to starve

Published December 15, 2011 by Sussex County Angel

This is so very inspirational and also a prime example of  how the ideals of Liberty are contagious! And Stacy is right, it does need to go viral! I am planning on talking about this on my show tonight:

For the first time on record, the Chinese Communist party has lost all control, with the population of 20,000 in this southern fishing village now in open revolt.

The last of Wukan’s dozen party officials fled on Monday after thousands of people blocked armed police from retaking the village, standing firm against tear gas and water cannons.

Since then, the police have retreated to a roadblock, some three miles away, in order to prevent food and water from entering, and villagers from leaving. Wukan’s fishing fleet, its main source of income, has also been stopped from leaving harbour.

The plan appears to be to lay siege to Wukan and choke a rebellion which began three months ago when an angry mob, incensed at having the village’s land sold off, rampaged through the streets and overturned cars.

Although China suffers an estimated 180,000 “mass incidents” a year, it is unheard of for the Party to sound a retreat.

Police have surrounded the town and aren’t allowing food  to their citizens.

“People cannot come in and we can’t go out. We will not survive if the situation keeps going, as we have no food,” said another villager to Agence France Press by phone. “We normally have to buy food from outside, but we are blocked, so we cannot buy it,” he added.Last week, officials in the village were taken hostage for a few hours by angry villagers and the police set up roadblocks at the village entrance in response.

30 villagers so far have gone over to the government’s side as they have been barricaded in since December 8th. These villagers stood firm against tear gas and water cannons (they were armed with sticks) and have switched sides for rice and cooking oil…

Presidential Candidate Buddy Roemer & Dan O’Connor to be on Radio Freedom with Angel Clark!

Published December 14, 2011 by Sussex County Angel

Buddy Roemer will be on The Angel Clark Show on Radio Freedom on December 14, 2011!

The Republican candidate for President of the United States will be discussing his views on the issues as well as some recent rumors regarding a third party run.

Buddy is the only candidate with executive, legislative, and private sector experience

Governor Roemer served four terms in the United States Congress from 1981 – 1988 as a conservative Democrat who often broke ranks with his party to vote with President Reagan, and was Louisiana Governor from 1988-1992 as both a Democrat and Republican.

During his tenure in the Governor’s office, unemployment in the state dropped by approximately half, the state budget was balanced all years despite inheriting a huge deficit, teacher pay was linked to performance, education accountability standards were enacted, government unions were challenged, and sweeping campaign finance reform legislation was passed.

Since leaving public office, Governor Roemer has been involved in a number of business ventures. Most recently, he served as the founder, CEO, and President of Business First Bank, a small business community bank with approximately $650 million in assets that took no bailout money from the federal government.

Governor Roemer lives in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, with his wife Scarlett, and is the father of three children. He received his undergraduate degree from Harvard College and his M.B.A. from Harvard Business School

Also joining us is Dan O’Connor!

Dan O’Connor understands economics

Dan O’Connor saw the economic collapse coming and has warned against Washington DC policies which have only prolonged the economic misery. The politicians in DC did not see the economic collapse coming and afterwards, they responded by approving of trillions of dollars to be given to their friends in the large banks, corporations and businesses that keep them in office.

Dan O’Connor was born in NYC and attended elementary school in Brooklyn.  While studying business at Rutgers University, Dan developed a strong understanding for the way that the economy works.  Later on, he studied economics intensively while pursuing a master’s degree in International Relations at a program established through The United Nations and Seton Hall University. After graduating Dan moved to Asia where he mastered the Chinese language and studied economics even further at Johns Hopkins University in Nanjing, China.  Mr. O’Connor lived in Greater China for 6 years and spent the tail end of his time abroad working for an economic think tank in Hong Kong.

Returning to the U.S. at the end of 2009, Dan sought out a career in Green Energy in Manhattan, where he has been working ever since.

Over the years, Dan has written extensively on subjects related to economics and the corrupt relationship between businesses and government which have brought our economy to the awful stage that currently exists.  Unfortunately, the economy is showing no signs of recovery.

Most of the politicians in DC have no training in economics and no respect for the US Constitution and the rule of law.  They are more concerned with getting re-elected and pleasing their corporate sponsors.  It’s time to bring fresh faces to Washington DC who are not in bed with the the big banks and corporations and understand how to get the economy back on track again!

Christine O’Donnell has endorsed Mitt Romney! – OUCH

Published December 14, 2011 by Sussex County Angel

Christine O’Donnell published the following announcement just after her appearance on Hannity on December 13, 2011 at 9:48 pm.

I’ve been warned by many not to endorse because no matter who I choose, no doubt some will be upset. It is a difficult decision choosing between such great candidates, truly difficult. Yet, this race is too important to sit out. Additionally, we simply can’t afford to have the primary contest drag out the way it did in 2008. Unlike 2008 when the incumbent president was not a candidate, the longer the 2012 GOP Primary contest drags out, Pres. Obama continues to have a free pass and get away with campaigning from the Oval Office. The sooner we have a nominee, the sooner we as a movement can unite and get to the real task at hand; making sure Pres. Obama is a one-term president.

It is my hope that my endorsement of Gov. Mitt Romney will cause others to give him a second look. I have traveled the country and had countless conversations with conservative voters and it is clear to me that many are making judgments about Gov. Romney based on misinformation about his record. For me, this endorsement comes down to trust. I am endorsing Gov. Romney because I trust him to do the right thing. Small things reveal a lot about who he is and how he will lead. He has the strength of conviction to do the right thing regardless of opposition. This is evidenced by his veto of a Massachusetts bill that would have allowed the creation and destruction of human embryos. His veto was over turned, thus reinforcing my point. When confronted with the truth, Gov. Romney had the character to do what he believed, in spite of the strong opposition against him. At the same time, he had the humility to admit he is not always right and open to hearing other viewpoints without betraying his core convictions.
Gov. Romney has had the courage to stand up with some of the heroes of our movement. He was one of the first to jump into the Scott Brown/Tea Party race in Massachusetts. He endorsed Marco Rubio and Nikki Haley when it would have been safer politically to sit on the sidelines. And throughout my campaign, he was a voice of encouragement, urging me to fight for what’s right. In fact, the day after I won the primary in Delaware, after the Washington establishment had gone on national television to say that I had no chance, Mitt Romney was the first to not only encourage me but to contribute to my campaign and to tell me that it was a worthy fight. I didn’t receive that encouragement from anyone in the GOP establishment, but Mitt Romney took the time to urge me on.
Based on remarks Gov. Romney gave during speeches, debates and editorial board meetings, I truly believe he has a strong command of what it takes to turn our country around. Unfortunately, many of his opponents have misrepresented his words and his record. The charge has been led by President Obama’s attack machine, which has made no secret of their “kill Mitt” strategy.
But many conservatives have also taken a page from Obama’s talking points. I have found that one of the biggest concerns primary voters have about Gov. Romney – whether he is committed to fully repealing Obamacare – is unwarranted. Gov. Romney has pledged over and over that fighting to fully repeal Obamacare is his number one priority. He has articulated a clear understanding of how destructive Obamacare is to America’s freedom and economic stability. Gov. Romney has laid out a clear plan for how he will work with Congress as well as immediately issue Executive Orders to give waivers to the states, so that the bill is not destructive while the long process of repeal is taking place. He understands that, even as president, his powers are limited and fully stopping this bill will require commitment to a lengthy repeal process with Congress. You can disagree with him on how he went about getting health insurance for those in Massachusetts who were uninsured, but he has been clear from day one that he would never impose a national health care plan, but would allow the states to take the lead.
I hope that my fellow reformers will take a close look at my reasons for supporting Governor Romney and will give both his record and his vision for our nation another look. America needs a President that is not a Washington Insider. America needs a President who hasn’t been playing the game for the last 3 decades. America needs a President who can turn our economy around, put Americans back to work, and will lead with stability, integrity and the values that we hold dear. I am confident Mitt Romney will be that President.
God Bless,Christine O’Donnell

I like Christine as a person, but I can’t support her on this one… I understand her choice, I do, but to me, a vote for Romney erases all the work the Tea Party activists have done.

Calen Fretts and Scotty Boman on Radio Freedom tonight!

Published December 13, 2011 by Sussex County Angel

Tonight on the Angel Clark Show on Radio Freedom we have a guest line-up! As a continuation of the homage to Liberty Candidates in honor of their MONEY BOMB on December 16th we are featuring some of the candidates they have deemed Liberty Oriented.

Our first guest this evening will be Calen Fretts who is running for the United States House of Representatives in Florida (First District) :

Calen Fretts was born in Pittsburgh, grew up in the small southeastern Virginia town of Courtland, and finally, settled in Valparaiso. He professes with great joy his Christian faith and, accordingly, his love for humanity. Calen graduated from Virginia Tech with a degree in Computer Science and currently runs a small web development company calledAlpha Web Presence. Before founding AWP, Fretts engaged in entrepreneurial web programming, worked as an IT Specialist with the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT), and co-founded a web development company in Atlanta, where he also functioned as IT Director and advisor. He currently serves as the Vice Chair of the Libertarian Party of Okaloosa County.

In 2011, he began his quest for Congress with his soon-to-be wife, Allison. She, a native of Niceville, FL, was the one responsible for convincing Calen how beautiful the coast of Florida was, and they ended up back in the Florida Panhandle. And, as he admits, “boy was she right!” He is an oldest child, with four siblings: two brothers and two sisters. His brother currently serves in the Army, and he comes from a long line of servicemen to the country, going all the way back to the Revolution. Calen is committed to God, family, friends, and country. These are the reasons he is motivated to do what he does.

Calen is proud to be a small business owner. He takes satisfaction in knowing that he is part of the solution, not the problem; that he participates in driving and advancing the private free market economy; that he embodies the great spirit of individuality, independence, and autonomy upon which this great nation of America was founded.

He has spent the last few years researching into the wee hours of the morning about the Constitution, the virtues of capitalism and voluntary interaction, and the advice and wisdom of America’s Founding Fathers. This intensive study led to a realization that many things he had always believed about the world were not exactly as they seemed. For example, that the majority of Republican and Democrat politicians no longer uphold the Constitution or the best interests of their constituents; that there are more than only two ideological choices, “the left” or “the right”; that there was a more consistent worldview that didn’t fit into the mainstream, dogmatic box. It was this awakening and worldview shift that eventually led him to take up the torch of liberty and do everything in his power to try to return the voice of common sense, and the common man, to government.

His philosophy is built on the belief that we as humans should first love one another, regardless of race or nationality or any other collectivist differences. Therefore, we should profoundly respect the sanctity of all human life and God-given human rights, whether in the womb or in a foreign land. We should also respect others’ choices in their own personal lives, as we would have them respect ours, whether or not we agree with them. The refusal to use government force to enforce our own opinions against others, and rather, the choice to be the “salt of the earth,” the “light of the world,” and lead others by example, is a principle that holds true on both the individual and international levels, and is one of the greatest manifestations of love.

Calen is a diehard sports fan (go Hokies!), a music lover, an entrepreneur, and an innovator. He constantly has new ideas to better the world. He enjoys Christian apologetics, libertarian studies, and generally stretching the limits of his brain. He has also created numerous websites, political and otherwise, as a side hobby.

He most admires historical men of love and peace such as Jesus Christ, Mohandas Gandhi, and Martin Luther King, Jr.; revolutionaries like Patrick Henry, Thomas Jefferson, George Washington, Andrew Jackson; rebels and thinkers such as Henry David Thoreau, Ayn Rand, Ludwig von Mises, F.A. Hayek, Murray Rothbard, Milton Friedman; as well as modern-day American patriots such as Congressman Ron PaulJudge Andrew Napolitano, and Michael Badnarik.

Calen doesn’t plan to head to DC to make friends or become a career politician. He doesn’t even like it there. Instead, he plans to overturn the moneychangers’ tables and be a voice of reason calling out in the wilderness.

We will also have Scotty Boman on the show tonight who is running for the United States Senate in Michigan:

Scotty Boman first became involved with the Republican Party through the Ron Paul campaign. He was elected precinct delegate in 2009. He was re-elected to that post in 2010. He has served as a Republican State Convention delegate in 2009 and 2010. He was an alternate delegate to the 2011 Republican State Convention where he announced the formation of the Committee to Elect Scotty Boman.

However, most of Scotty’s political activity has been with the Libertarian Party. Scotty is proud of his background with this party and is open to any avenue that will further the cause of liberty. He ran for United States Senate as a Libertarian in 2008. He came in a distant third. Boman suspects bias toward major parties, rather than opposition to his agenda, to be the cause of this defeat. Boman suspects the results would be different for a major party candidate with the same views. The validity of this suspicion is an item for this committee to investigate.

Scotty has been a Libertarian candidate in every statewide partisan election since 1994. In 1997, his candidacy for Detroit City Council was endorsed by the Detroit News.

Scotty served as Libertarian gubernatorial candidate Greg Creswell’s running mate in 2006. The Creswell-Boman ticket campaigned on behalf of Proposal-2, which sought to eliminate the legalized racial and gender preference practiced by the state of Michigan. Both Jennifer Granholm and Dick DeVos opposed Proposal-2, which ended up passing by a large margin.

Scotty met and voted for Ron Paul in 1988, when Dr. Paul was the Libertarian Party’s presidential nominee. Scotty has been a Ron Paul “R3VOLutionary” longer than some of the best “R3VOLutionaries” have been alive!

Scotty was a grassroots leader of Michigan’s Ron Paul for President campaign. He organized one of the largest Meetup groups in the state, and he was very active in the Detroit area promoting Ron Paul’s libertarian message of peace, liberty, and prosperity.

Professionally, Scotty has been an educator for 19 years. Currently, he works as a Physics instructor at Wayne County Community College and as an Astronomy instructor at Macomb Community College. Scotty also substitute teaches in a few local school districts.

Scotty received his B.S. from Western Michigan University in 1985, with a double major in Physics and Philosophy and a minor in Mathematics. He earned an M.A. in Physics from Western two years later, and an additional graduate degree from Wayne State University in 1999.

Scotty was born in Detroit where he continues to live today.

To summarize: The latest batch of “anti-Newt” sentiment

Published December 13, 2011 by Sussex County Angel

Today I was notified of a few Newt related tales.

The first was the statement that Michael Savage is offering Newt Gingrich$1,000,000 to drop out of the presidential election… (we all know that he won’t).

What actually may bug me more about this could be that Savage seems to be making this statement because he is that sure that Mitt Romney is the only person who can win in 2012 against Obama.

The second Newt tale that I saw was the story of Glenn Beck stating that he would considering voting for Ron Paul over Newt Gingrich.   Later on in the day I saw sent one of those fun spam emails telling me that there was another uber important post I just had to read over at Tea Party Nation written by Judson Phillips (founder of TPN).

The headline is:

“Glenn Beck supports Obama’s second term”

Isn’t it amazing how fickle people are? We all know that I am not a Newt fan, but I felt this should be shared.

Michael Savage is so sure about Mitt Romney that he offered Newt $1,000,000 to drop out!

Published December 13, 2011 by Sussex County Angel

Michael Savage has offered Newt Gingrich $1,000,000 (one million dollars) to drop out of the GOP presidential race. Many news sources are discussing that. What may not be passed around as much is the following statement on Michael Savage’s website:

“MITT ROMNEY IS THE ONLY CANDIDATE WITH A CHANCE OF DEFEATING BARACK OBAMA”

It seems that Savage really has a lot of faith in Mitt Romney…

Tea Party Nation “Glenn Beck supports Obama’s second term” – (Beck stated he would consider Ron Paul before Gingrich)

Published December 13, 2011 by Sussex County Angel

A lot of people have been talking about the statements made by Glenn Beck this morning. Glenn said that he would consider voting for Ron Paul over Newt Gingrich. You can listen to the audio yourself.   (It’s also attached to this article)

Judson Phillips, Tea Party Nation founder, wrote the following blog post this evening:

Glenn Beck is now supporting a second term for Barack Obama.

Yes.  How else do you explain what he has come out with now?  From the Right Scoop:

Glenn Beck said this morning on his radio show that if Newt Gingrich is the nominee and Ron Paul runs third party, he’d consider voting for Ron Paul over Newt Gingrich, and he hates Ron Paul’s policies on the Middle East:

This is suicide and it doesn’t get any simpler this: voting third party on our side for whomever guarantees Obama a victory. That’s it. And if Newt’s the nominee and Beck wants to go that road, then I tell him what I tell others: enjoy the hell that will be a second Obama term.

This is after Beck came out a few days ago saying if the Tea Party supported Newt over Obama, it was only about race.

From Business Insider:

Over the weekend Beck followed up last week’s headline-making interview with Newt Gingrich with an appearance on Judge Andrew Napolitano’s Fox Business show.

Beck, who is no fan of what he terms Gingrich’s “progressive” politics, declared that Gingrich is the “only candidate I cannot vote for” before taking a rather brutal (if totally true to form) swipe at Tea Party supporters.

If you have a big government progressive, or a big government progressive in Obama… ask yourself this, Tea Party: Is it about Obama’s race? Because that’s what it appears to be to me. If you’re against him but you’re for this guy, it must be about race. I mean, what else is it? It’s the policies that matter.

Those comments can only be described as nutty.

Why would Beck say such stupid things?  One commenter on one of the websites that carried this story suggested Beck was trying to help Romney out because Romney and Beck are both Mormon.

Some Tea Party members, such as myself, like Newt Gingrich.  Some are willing to accept Gingrich and some say they will refuse to vote for him.  Calling us racists because we prefer Gingrich, who despite his flaws, loves America and wants the best for America, is absolutely nuts.

To say you would prefer Ron Paul as a third party candidate over Newt Gingrich is beyond nuts.   If Ron Paul runs as a third party candidate, he has the support to pull enough votes away to give Barack Obama a second term.  Anyone with half a brain can figure this out.

Why would Glenn Beck want Barack Obama to have a second term?

If there is no other reason to make certain there is no  second Obama term, then consider the Supreme Court.  In the next four years, there will be at least one opening in the Supreme Court and possibly more.  If one of the conservatives leaves the court, we will have a liberal majority on the court and if that happens, we will see the constitution be relegated to the ash heap of history.

If Beck is so opposed to Newt because he thinks Newt is a progressive, why hasn’t he said anything about Mitt Romney who, unlike Newt, really is a liberal?

So, Glenn, why no criticism of Mitt?

I gave up listening to Glenn Beck several years ago when it became apparent he was more interested in building his brand, then about saving this country.

It looks like I haven’t missed anything.

It seems that Glenn Beck has raised the ire of some members of the Tea Party.

Psst – Glenn, that happens when you mention Ron Paul. Don’t worry, next week they’ll be supporting Santorum…

This writer understands that many people believe voting third party is a sure way to re-elect President Obama. Of course, when people “held their noses and voted for the lesser of two evils” (John McCain) that turned out well…

Jason Greene & Jordon Greene tonight on Radio Freedom!

Published December 12, 2011 by Sussex County Angel

Tonight on the Angel Clark Show on Radio Freedom we have a guest line-up! As part of an homage to Liberty Candidates in honor of their MONEY BOMB on December 16th we are featuring some of the candidates they have deemed Liberty Oriented.

Tonight we start off with Jordon Greene - who is running for North Carolina’s State House of Representatives (District 87)

Jordon M. Greene was born in Beaufort, South Carolina in a military family while his father served his last years in the United States Marines Corps. While Jordon was still a toddler his family moved back to their hometown in Lenoir, North Carolina in the Collettsville area where he resides today.

Jordon is a self-employed web designer, sales associate at a local retailer and a volunteer election law advocate. Jordon received his B.A. in Political Science from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in 2011. As a recent university graduate, Jordon understands how foreboding today’s job market is and can see the need for reform to allow job growth in our state for the current and future generations. He understands that government cannot create jobs, but rather should foster a business friendly environment where the free-market can flourish.

As a political activist who believes that every voice is important Jordon saw the need for an organization to educate North Carolinians about our state’s election law problems and to push for much needed legislative reforms to ensure legitimate elections in North Carolina. In 2008, Jordon organized Free the Vote North Carolina, a free-market based election law reform organization of which he currently serves as President.  Jordon’s organization is responsible for the formation of a sixteen-member coalition from across the political spectrum in support of common sense election law legislation to expand voter choice and restore the people’s voice.

Jordon, a constitutional conservative, is a strong proponent of individual liberty and restoring government to its limited constitutional proportions.  As a young adult, Jordon understands the importance of getting back to constitutional government and the free-market to ensure that his generation and those to follow can inherit a more free and prosperous North Carolina, not the burdens of the previous generation.  Jordon believes that his deep conviction in and adherence to the principles of individual liberty, the free-market and our state and national constitutions will allow him to provide a needed voice in Raleigh for the people of Caldwell County.

Jordon is a member of Temple Baptist Church in Lenoir, where he helps with the sound equipment and regularly attends his church’s scripture publishing ministry.  Jordon is a supporter of conservative organizations that emphasis individual liberty and limited government such as the Campaign for Liberty, the John Locke Foundation and Americans for Prosperity.

Jordon asks for your support and your vote on May 8, 2012 in the Republican Party’s Primary Election for State House.

After that we will talk with Jason Greene – who is running for U.S House of Representatives in Missouri.

I consider myself a different type of candidate, one who is not part of a political party establishment and not one who fits within the confines of the traditional party lines.  My liberty based principles come before my party affiliation or label.  I hope you take a moment to learn more about who I am as an individual and my solutions to the troubling challenges facing our district and great nation.

Life-Long 5th District Citizen

I was born and raised in South Kansas City, graduating from Hickman Mills High School.  I believe that the experiences I shared along my neighbors during this time provided great insight to the challenges facing our urban citizens.  My wife Kristin and I attend Colonial Presbyterian Church in Kansas City, where recently we were married.  I feel personally invested within the urban and surrounding rural community. I believe as citizens of the heartland, we have great determination and resolve to better our current situation and Restore America’s Promise.

College Education

I completed my undergraduate degree in Social Science Education from Northwest Missouri State University where I met my wife Kristin.  During this time I was involved in several organizations and philanthropies.  Such organizations were Phi Delta Theta, College Republicans and student tutoring.   In addition, during this time, I received the opportunity to work under the Department of Veteran Affairs with the National Veterans Business Development Corporation, finding new ways to support our veterans and honor their sacrifice. Living and working within a rural community while completing my undergraduate degree, provided me with a great contrast to urban life. This opportunity helped me better understand rural perspectives and challenges.

After returning to Kansas City, I began and finished my graduate work within Political Science from the University of Missouri Kansas City.  During this time, I focused my work on the influence of international and domestic economies within the political sphere.  My belief in liberty and free market solutions were even further solidified after observing and examining the economic and political harms of statist government institutions.

Career and Why I’m Seeking Office

For the past several years, I have taught Social Studies and coached within the Raytown community.  I enjoy my career immensely, and that is in part why I am seeking office.  From my perspective as an educator, I have witnessed many harms of good intended federal policy leaving very little or no results.  An invisible ceiling on families leaving them nothing but hope, lack of educational or employment opportunity for parents and their children.  A destruction of constitutional liberty in the name of political convenience have all left me to wonder not only what kind of America will there be for our children, but if America will lead the 21st century.

For far too long, special interests have muzzled the people’s voice in this great nation. Small businesses and the middle class are being squeezed by regulations that benefit corporate America and the Washington elite.  In order for America to move forward, we need new voices to stand up and fight for sound economic growth and liberty.  I believe that I have the ability, knowledge and passion to represent this change in Washington.

Eurozone SPLITS! EU to continue without Britain (the first step is to start printing)

Published December 9, 2011 by Sussex County Angel

Early this morning the EU leaders came to a decision. The Eurozone will continue, but they’ll no longer have the support of Britain (and her pound).

CNN reports the following:

But the new plan, which leaders are aiming to have ready by March, did not get the backing of Britain and three other countries.

“We would rather have reformed the treaty with 27 members,” Sarkozy said. But Prime Minister David Cameron of Britain demanded an “unacceptable” opt out clause related to the financial services sector, Sarkozy said.

The British waiver would have “undermined a lot of what we’ve done to regulate the financial sector,” Sarkozy said. Instead, the eurozone countries, along with “anyone who wants to join us,” are pushing ahead with the new intergovermental treaty, he said.

“What is on offer isn’t in Britain’s interests, so I didn’t agree to it,” Cameron said at a briefing.

The new deal may raise concerns of the EU turning into a two-tier system, with some countries pursuing deeper integration than others.

In other words, Britain realizes that the pound has more value than the Euro (in part due to the fact that some of their coins are made of silver). Britain wanted to be exempt from some of the financial regulations the rest of the Eurozone will be engaging in, including some serious IMF handouts:

In a meeting billed as a last chance to save the euro, with financial markets unconvinced by policymakers’ efforts to tackle the region’s problems so far, the leaders also took several critical decisions on the permanent bailout fund, the European Stability Mechanism, which will come into force in July 2012.

The ESM’s capacity will be capped at 500 billion euros ($666 billion), less than had been suggested was possible before the summit, and the facility will not get a banking license, as Van Rompuy originally had proposed, due to German opposition.

It also was agreed that EU countries would provide up to 200 billion euros in bilateral loans to the International Monetary Fund (IMF) to help it tackle the crisis, with 150 billion euros of the total coming from the euro zone countries.

“We can be very pleased at the result,” IMF Managing Director Christine Lagarde said as she left the summit.

Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk admits that “I’m not sure” if the Euro is safe now.

The 27 EU presidents and prime ministers began their talks at 7:30 Thursday evening and continued past 4:30 a.m.

Despite the hours of discussions, Britain is out, and possibly also three others have decided to stay out.

In the coming weeks, Britain may find itself even more isolated. Sweden, the Czech Republic and Hungary want time to consult their parliaments and political parties before deciding on whether to join the new union-within-the-union.

Maybe the Central Bankers will realize that throwing money at the Eurozone will not fix this problem, but for now it seems that many members of the media are reporting this in a way to make those countries sticking with the European Central Banks in a positive light.
