I have been playing with Facebook Timeline Covers lately, because we have to now. I’ll add here the Ron Paul Covers I’ve been using (I may add more later, some of my favorite images have to be resized for it)

Keith Olberman has been fired and replaced with Eliot Spitzer
Published March 30, 2012 by Sussex County AngelAs one who has been recently fired, I feel bad for Olbermann. I was not a fan, but he had one or two videos on YouTube I really liked.
It seems that the contract Keith Olbermann signed with Current TV for $50 million dollars is now void. At least, according to Current TV, Keith Olbermann has breached the contract. That’s right, Keith Olbermann has been fired.
Current TV just released an open letter from the company’s founders, Al Gore and Joel Hyatt:
Current was also founded on the values of respect, openness, collegiality, and loyalty to our viewers. Unfortunately these values are no longer reflected in our relationship with Keith Olbermann and we have ended it.
We are moving ahead by honoring Current’s values. Current has a fundamental obligation to deliver news programming with a progressive perspective that our viewers can count on being available daily — especially now, during the presidential election campaign. Current exists because our audience desires the kind of perspective, insight and commentary that is not easily found elsewhere in this time of big media consolidation.
Keith Olbermann has been replaced by Eliot Spitzer, who, it seems, has enough respect to make Al Gore happy. Elliot Spitzer’s show starts Friday, March 30, 2012 at 8 pm. Eliot had a show on CNN which aired for 8 months with Kathleen Parker.
Keith Olbermann will not be given the chance to “sign off” or say goodbye to his fans as the Eliot Spitzer show airs immediately. This will be Spitzer’s second chance at an 8 pm talk show (after his involvement in a prostitution ring).
MediaCoder explains some of the reasons Current TV claims Olbermann breached his contract:
In January and February, Mr. Olbermann continued to miss many days of work, as he himself acknowledged on his popular Twitter feed. He attributed some of his absences to throat problems. But Current considered some of those absences to be breaches of his contract, labeling them “unauthorized absences,” according to a person familiar with the matter, who insisted on anonymity because the executives involved had agreed not to comment on the record.
For instance, he took a vacation day on March 5, on the eve of the Super Tuesday primaries, despite a warning from Current that it would constitute a breach of contract, according to the person.
Olbermann has had a history of arguments with management that dates back to his time with ESPN and MSNBC. Olbermann has discussed his anger on Twitter. Here is his full statement:
My full statement:
I’d like to apologize to my viewers and my staff for the failure of Current TV.
Editorially, Countdown had never been better. But for more than a year I have been imploring Al Gore and Joel Hyatt to resolve our issues internally, while I’ve been not publicizing my complaints, and keeping the show alive for the sake of its loyal viewers and even more loyal staff. Nevertheless, Mr. Gore and Mr. Hyatt, instead of abiding by their promises and obligations and investing in a quality news program, finally thought it was more economical to try to get out of my contract.
It goes almost without saying that the claims against me implied in Current’s statement are untrue and will be proved so in the legal actions I will be filing against them presently. To understand Mr. Hyatt’s “values of respect, openness, collegiality and loyalty,” I encourage you to read of a previous occasion Mr. Hyatt found himself in court for having unjustly fired an employee. That employee’s name was Clarence B. Cain.http://nyti.ms/HueZsa
In due course, the truth of the ethics of Mr. Gore and Mr. Hyatt will come out. For now, it is important only to again acknowledge that joining them was a sincere and well-intentioned gesture on my part, but in retrospect a foolish one. That lack of judgment is mine and mine alone, and I apologize again for it.
How bad would it be to be fired by Al Gore?
Did Rick Santorum almost call President Obama the N-word?
Published March 30, 2012 by Sussex County AngelPeople seem to really dislike Rick Santorum. They either love him or they hate him.
One reason why people may hate him is because he wants to do things like censor people by banning pornography. Another reason people really seem to hate him is because he has a habit of adding extra syllables to his speeches during inopportune times.
He claimed last time that he was saying “blaaah people” when it sounded like he said “black people”.
One wonders what he will say this time when people watch this most recent gaffe. It sounds like he almost calls President Obama the N-word.
Listen yourself and see what you think.
He definitely says “We know, we know the candidate Barack Obama what he was like, anti-war, government nig… ah, the ah, America was a source for division around the world…”
Can we get an instant replay on this one?
Rick Santorum’s speech at the Armory in Janesville, Wisconsin on Tuesday was, in almost every sense, unremarkable — except for about two seconds. But what two seconds they were!
“We know, we know the candidate Barack Obama what he was like. The anti-war government nig…uh…America was a source for division around the world…” he said.
Obviously, Santorum probably had no intention of calling Obama a racial slur. But it might be fun to watch him explain it anyway.
“Read Ayn Rand” is world’s biggest message
Published March 30, 2012 by Sussex County AngelEver wanted to tell the world something? It seems there’s now an interesting way to do so. Ever heard of GPS writing?
GPS writing is when you turn your GPD device on and off (like a pen) as you are travelling. While driving you may create lines by turning your GPS logger on and in between letters, you can just turn the GPS logger off. These travel records are then displayed as lines on a Google Earth map.
Nick Newcomen has written the words largest message in this way, telling people to “Read Ayn Rand”. As Atlas Shrugged the movie part 2 is about to hit the theaters this is relevant yet again.
Ayn Rand was an author and philosopher whose books “Atlas Shrugged” and “The Fountainhead” and well read (to say the least). In fact, Atlas Shrugged was considered the “second most influential book for Americans today” right behind the bible by a survey conducted in part by the Library of Congress.
Nick Newcomen’s journey took 30 days and was funded by no one other than himself he told Wired.com:
“The main reason I did it is because I am an Ayn Rand fan,” he says. “In my opinion if more people would read her books and take her ideas seriously, the country and world would be a better place — freer, more prosperous and we would have a more optimistic view of the future.”
“The first word I wrote actually was the word ‘Rand’, then I went up North to do the word ‘Read’ and finished it with ‘Ayn,’” says Newcomen.
Nick spent 30 days writing his message while driving 12,238 miles across 30 states.
Ron Paul gathers 5,200 supporters while Joe Biden gathers 150 supporters
Published March 30, 2012 by Sussex County AngelWhile Dr. Ron Paul was getting the “rock star treatment” in Wisconsin, Vice-President Joe Biden was speaking at his own gathering. Dr. Paul had a crowd of over 5,200 supporters stand outside in 40 degree weather to hear him speak. Vice-President Biden had over 150 supporters hear him speak at the Italian Community Center in Wisconsin.
Vice-President Biden spoke for about 30 minutes to donors and activists at about the same time Dr. Paul was speaking.
Last night 1,800 people packed inside a building in Maryland while 200 people lined up outside. All to see Dr. Ron Paul. Tonight, more than 5,200 people stood outside in 40 degree weather to hear Dr. Paul speak. This beats his previous record and is now the largest Town Hall meeting Dr. Paul has had to date!
Ron Paul supporters are enthusiastic, dedicated, and motivated. Many politicians have attempted to wrestle control of Ron Paul supporters by floating rumors regarding secret deals and back room meetings. These politicians do not seem to realize that this is a movement and is about more than just one man.
According to the Post Bulletin, Vice-President Biden’s fund-raiser was an event that cost a minimum of $250 to attend. Maybe that helped to contribute to the lack of attendance:
The fundraiser was for the Obama Victory Fund, the joint fundraising committee for the Obama campaign and the Democratic National Committee. Tickets were a minimum of $250. The vice president began his current trip in Iowa and will go on to Illinois before returning to Wilmington, Del.
One wonders whether Vice-President Biden’s supporters left as pleased as Dr. Paul’s supporters.

Get Ron Paul on the cover of TIME magazine! Vote here!
Published March 30, 2012 by Sussex County AngelDr. Ron Paul’s supporters are known for being dedicated, energetic, and motivated. They are also often called devious when it comes to online polls. In actuality most Ron Paul supporters are not devious, there are just a lot of them.
The time has come for them to be active once more.
There is a poll to get Ron Paul on the cover of TIME magazine.
Dr. Paul is currently in second place behind Erik Martin. Anonymous is in third place.
Cast your votes for the leaders, artists, innovators, icons and heroes that you think are the most influential people in the world. Official voting ends on Friday, April 6, and the poll winner will be included in the TIME 100 issue. The complete TIME 100 list will be chosen by our editors and revealed on TIME.com on Tuesday, April 17.
Dr. Paul is described as:
The leader of a vibrant libertarian movement, Paul has drawn huge, passionate crowds throughout the Republican presidential campaign. But on his third and final bid for the White House, Paul is again poised to come up short. Even so, the retiring 12-term Congressman has reshaped the national political debate and left behind his imprint on his party — not to mention an heir, Senator Rand Paul, to inherit his army.
Vote here! (regardless of how you feel about TIME’s description)

I was sent the following email on March 29, 2012 at 9:21 pm:
LAKE JACKSON, Texas – 2012 Republican Presidential candidate Ron Paul attracted an amazing more than 5,200 supporters and undecided voters to a college campus town hall meeting in Wisconsin, breaking his record of drawing large crowds to campaign events.
The 12-term Congressman from Texas’ campus town hall meeting took place at 7:00 p.m. CST outdoors on the Memorial Union Terrace – Waterfront, located at 800 Langdon Street, Madison, WI 53706. Event organizers noted that the thousands of event attendees braved a brisk 40-degree breeze emanating from nearby lakes Mendota and Monona. At the event, Dr. Paul spoke to an admiring crowd about the need for constitutionally-limited government, the enduring ties between civil and economic liberties, and key elements of his ‘Plan to Restore America,’ an oft-praised economic blueprint designed to reverse the rapid growth in government, spending, and borrowing that threatens prosperity and freedom.
Just yesterday, Dr. Paul drew a crowd of more than 2,000 people to his University of Maryland – College Park town hall meeting held inside Ritchie Coliseum.
Beginning Prepper notes! Tips everyone starting prepping should read!
Published March 30, 2012 by Sussex County AngelAs someone who is learning about prepping this writer has found there are a few tips that everyone seems to mention when you get started. Some are easier to follow than others!
The first thing to remember is to take it easy and only do what you are able to do. If you cannot spend $20,000 on prepping gear to get started, don’t spend $20,000 on prepping gear. Regardless of your own lack of experience, and prepping puts you and your family in a better position than no prepping.
You should also start out sticking to the basics. It’s difficult to start out getting prepared for a doomsday event. Getting prepared for a power outage for 72-hours is much easier to handle. After you have your 3-day supply, you can move up to a 7-day supply and take it from there.
Always remember to also be prepared for your pets. Don’t just set aside non-perishable food, water, and medication for your family, also set aside pet food and medications!
Make sure that you have copies of all important documents (driver’s license, passport, marriage license, emergency contacts, and medical history) but keep them in a safe place! A flash drive would also be good for this.
Another very important prepping tip is to know how you will be contacting your loved ones! In case of and emergency, do you have family that lives close by? Do you know how you will reach them? Do you have their number memorized if you have to call them from a different phone number? A meeting place may also be a good idea.
New York City schools have banned these 50 words from their tests
Published March 30, 2012 by Sussex County AngelI hated taking tests in school. They brought out a wide range of emotions, but mainly frustration. It seems, however, that in New York City schools certain words have been banned from tests as they may evoke certain feelings or offend people.
Many people are offended by strange things, but you would be really surprised to see the words on this list:
- Abuse (physical, sexual, emotional, or psychological)
- Alcohol (beer and liquor), tobacco, or drugs
- Birthday celebrations (and birthdays)
- Bodily functions
- Cancer (and other diseases)
- Catastrophes/disasters (tsunamis and hurricanes)
- Celebrities
- Children dealing with serious issues
- Cigarettes (and other smoking paraphernalia)
- Computers in the home (acceptable in a school or library setting)
- Crime
- Death and disease
- Divorce
- Evolution
- Expensive gifts, vacations, and prizes
- Gambling involving money
- Halloween
- Homelessness
- Homes with swimming pools
- Hunting
- Junk food
- In-depth discussions of sports that require prior knowledge
- Loss of employment
- Nuclear weapons
- Occult topics (i.e. fortune-telling)
- Parapsychology
- Politics
- Pornography
- Poverty
- Rap Music
- Religion
- Religious holidays and festivals (including but not limited to Christmas, Yom Kippur, and Ramadan)
- Rock-and-Roll music
- Running away
- Sex
- Slavery
- Terrorism
- Television and video games (excessive use)
- Traumatic material (including material that may be particularly upsetting such as animal shelters)
- Vermin (rats and roaches)
- Violence
- War and bloodshed
- Weapons (guns, knives, etc.)
- Witchcraft, sorcery, etc.
The schools claim it is about being politically correct:
“So we’re not an outlier in being politically correct. This is just making sure that test makers are sensitive in the development of their tests,” Walcott said Monday.
The Department of Education seems to be saying that while these words are appropriate in other aspect of life they are not appropriate on tests. They claim that this behavior (the banning of words on tests) is common practice. They point to the fact that in California does not use the word “weed” on tests. “Weed” is much different than “Hunting” in this writer’s opinion.
Staten Island Republican Assemblyman Lou Tobacco stated:
“This is a clear example of the hyper-sensitivity that exists in our city and state’s ivory towers of education, and it shows how out-of-touch these career bureaucrats are with the communities they serve,” Tobacco said in a release. “This is a foolish policy that will ultimately hurt teachers’ abilities to expand their students’ vocabularies and understanding of human history.”
According to CNN this is the fifth year that New York City Schools have created such a list. The list is meant to avoid “unpleasant emotions“. This writer has unpleasant emotions whenever taking any tests. Perhaps all tests should simply be banned.

Published March 29, 2012 by Sussex County AngelTonight on the Angel Clark Show on Radio Freedom we have Senator Byron Dorgan!
The United States is addicted to oil, and we don’t often realize how American bloodshed in Afghanistan and Iraq is connected to that addiction. In addition, Big Oil has it in their best interests to keep that oil flowing no matter what, and with no alternatives. What if we found a clean, cheap, and nearly inexhaustible source of energy that could slow down global warming – would Big Oil goto ANY lengths to stop it?
This is the premise of the new novel BLOWOUT, by Former U.S. Senator and Chairman of the Senate Committee on Energy, Byron Dorgan, andBestselling Thriller Author and Former USAF Cryptographer, David Hagberg. In BLOWOUT, scientists discover a bacteria that can be programmed to eat coal and leave clean fuel in their wake, unlocking America’s most abundant resource to produce two centuries worth of alternative energy. However, when Big Oil learns that their lucrative empire is at stake, they hire domestic terrorists to attack the clean energy Initiative to prolong their oil hegemony. It becomes a race against time with stakes that couldn’t be higher, and this explosive story uses real science to show how a situation like this could actually happen by as early as next year.
