Arvin Vohra is an edu­ca­tor and entre­pre­neur who was born and raised in Mary­land. His com­pa­nies include Arvin Vohra Edu­ca­tion, Mind Sculp­tor Soft­ware, and Education4Sale.com. His book, The Equa­tion for Excel­lence: How to Make Your Child Excel at Math, has been pub­lished in both the United States and China, and has been fea­tured on Chan­nel 9 News. Arvin Vohra is the author of The Equation for Excellence, the developer of Vocabulary Synapse, and the founder of Arvin Vohra Education. His new book Lies, Damned Lies, and College Admissions analyzes the causes and effects of the dramatic college tuition increases over the last decades, while showing how college process itself has become fundamentally disempowering. He is currently the Libertarian Party’s congressional candidate for district 5 in Maryland.

Arvin has been involved in educational innovation since an early age. He took his first college course at age 13, and earned scores of 5 on 10 different AP exams. Later, he earned perfect scores on both the GRE and the GMAT. He finished the GMAT an hour and 20 minutes early, and the GRE an hour and 45 minutes early. He also developed an approach to speed-reading that can be used for complex texts (like the GRE).

His newest educational innovation is called the Vohra Method, a nonlinear approach to education that allows individualized learning in a group setting.
