The White House has had some pretty great parties in the last few years. The American people may be paying for them, but we’re certainly not invited. Interestingly enough, a boy band who was invited to the White House just declined the invitation.
One Direction, a British-Irish boy band has declined to attend the Easter Egg Roll at the White House. Michelle Obama, the first lady, asked the boy band to attend the annual Easter Egg Roll at the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards on Saturday.
But the boys have other plans. According to a rep for the band, One Direction had to decline “due to prior commitments.”
The boys became famous after performing at The X-Factor and last month won awards for their song “What Makes You Beautiful“. The five members of the boy band charmed the first lady backstage after they performed. The band claimed they would love to go to the White House another time.
