Rick Santorum may have just lied to the press and is boycotting Drudge

Rick Santorum has announced on Tuesday that he no longer visits one of the most popular conservative news websites, The Drudge Report.  He has claimed that Drudge contains too much “propaganda” that is positive towards his rival, Mitt Romney.

“I’ve stopped reading Drudge,” Santorum says of the influential news website in “Inside the Circus,” a soon-to-be released eBook on the 2012 Republican race for president.  Added Santorum: “It’s gotten ridiculous—Romney propaganda.”

It all seems to have started on Friday when Santorum disconnected while doing a radio interview with Scott Sloan on 700 AM WLW.  Santorum claims he disconnected by accident and called the host back.  The Drudge Report had it listed that Santorum hung up on the host.  That’s when Santorum started to bash the popular website.

“That’s baloney,” Santorum said. “I was driving and we lost the call and I called him back two minutes later and we finished the conversation. Drudge, again showing for Romney, gets the facts wrong.”

According to WLW, Santorum declined to finish the interview.  If this is correct then Santorum has blatantly lied to the public.

It seems that Santorum may soon be caught in yet another scandal regarding things he says, but he most likely won’t be reading the article about it on Drudge since he seems to be boycotting the site.
