Federal court rules police cannot arrest you for flipping them the middle finger

Flipping the bird is protected free speech a federal appeals court ruled Thursday. A police officer cannot pull you over and arrest you simply because you flipped them off. The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit ruled the “ancient gesture of insult is not the basis for a reasonable suspicion of a traffic violation or impending criminal activity.”

  1. Sounds like a win.
    Unfortunately it had to actually be taken court, never a good thing when we have to take the police to court to make sure its ok to give them the middle finger.
